Doctor HTML When you've created a web page, run it through this program. You can choose the items you want it to analyze, including spelling and the validity of the hyperlinks! It will also make suggestions to improve such things as the loading performance of your graphics.

EXonize it! Put in a URL and the program will search that page and replace all possibly illegal language with a big red "CENSORED" mark. Try it on the URL for Nightstar's Portals page (http://www.star.org/portals.htm). You'll be horrified. Let the eXonizer show you just how vague the wording in the Communications Decency Act of the Telecomm Bill really is! (Note: to end the eXonizer program, click on the "close" button on your browser's Windows button bar.)

My Internet Service Provider

What's VIC? The Virtual Interactive Center. You can't beat their services or their rates in the Knoxville, Tennessee, area.

We're talking $23.95 a month for UNLIMITED access (no restrictions on time of day or number of hours), 5 MB of storage on their server, and a World Wide Web page. Get the Gold Package SLIP/PPP Account and tell them I (nlp@star.org) sent you!

By the way, I'm not in any way affiliated with VIC. If you're shopping around for an internet service provider and have questions about how VIC operates, how good their support or help staff is, or how much expertise you need to use their service effectively, feel free to e-mail me here.
