Starter 2000 was released April 24, 2000.

Most of the cards in Starter 2000 are already included in sets
eligible for Standard.  The set runs 58 cards and of these, 14
are new to Magic (although all 14 of these have been previously
seen in Starter or Portal).
5 cards are reprinted from earlier Magic sets and will be newly
(re-)legal in Standard:  Durkwood Boars, Spined Wurm, Mons's
Goblin Raiders, Time Ebb, Angelic Blessing.
The cards new to Magic are:  Hand of Death, Monstrous Growth,
Moon Sprite, Willow Elf, Ogre Warrior, Trained Orgg, Giant
Octopus, Sea Eagle, Vizzerdrix, Breath of Life, Eager Cadet,
Knight Errant, Royal Falcon, and Wild Griffin.
