The
initial evaluation includes a complete security
map of your office’s technology security.
Every month new security updates will be installed
to your computers and network, simulated attacks
will be performed and you will have a point
of contact for any security emergencies. A security
appliance/firewall that we will manage, and
company-wide virus protection will be installed
to
protect your network and computers, a data backup
strategy will be developed, and any remote access
through VPNs to the office network will be enabled.
On an ongoing basis wee will make sure that
your electronic assets/data are protected, your
organization works more efficiently and you
are prepared when the unexpected comes.
What
is content filtering?
Content
filtering allows your organization to set and
enforce acceptable use policies of the Internet
for employees. It allows you to define which
material on the Internet will be accessible
and what data is allowed to leave your network
and be sent to the Internet. Our service includes
web site blocking depending on the categories
you choose (adult, entertainment etc.).
How
do you protect our organization from viruses?
We
use a policy enforced method which includes
virus protection software installed on every
computer with the security appliance/firewall
acting as the master. Each desktop receives
automatic virus updates from the security appliance,
and also checks to make sure that each computer
has the latest virus protection before being
able to access the Internet. There is no employee
intervention needed making sure that computers
are always protected.
What
are VPNs and how do they help my organization?
Organizations
today require real-time collaboration among
dispersed people and offices. You may have employess
who work on the road, or from home but need
access to files or applications at the office.
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) will allow partners,
clients and employees/telecommuters/remote workers
secure access to the office network from anywhere
they can have Internet access (from home, while
traveling or anywhere) in a secure transparent
manner.
How
does backup help me?
Electronic
devices which hold data, such as computers and
servers, have a limited life span. If your data
is not regularly backed up, in tape media which
is kept off-site your assets can be lost. Natural
disasters and human errors are other reasons
regular backups are needed. Mistakes also happen,
so the next time a staff member accidentally
deletes the presentation you are supposed to
give today, you will be covered.
