Milford Sound

Milford Sound is the end of the Milford Track. A ferry takes trampers across the sound to the small town of Milford, where this picture was taken. The 5000 foot Mitre Peak on the left is said to be the most photographed peak in New Zealand. The sound is technically a fjord, and the top ten feet or so is fresh water, with salt water below.
