Interactive Nepal Trek Maps
Scott A. Yost
An interactive map is provided for each of my treks. The maps provide
links into the journal for each village where I stopped,
as well as links to photographs taken near any spot selected.
This 20 day trek in the Khumbu region began and ended at the Lukla airstrip.
I visited both Kala Pattar, an 18,500 foot hill with good views of Mt.
Everest, and Gokyo, which is known for its beautiful lakes and the view
from the 17,995 foot hill, Gokyo Ri.
This 10 day trek in the Annapurna region began and ended with taxi rides
along the road from Pokhara. I visited Poon Hill, known for its views of
the Annapurnas and Dhalaghiri, and then followed the Modi Khola into the
Annapurna Sanctuary, a huge amphitheater surrounded by giant peaks,
for a visit to the Annapurna Base Camp (A.B.C.).
