- This statue of Bhairab, in the Kathmandu Durbar Square, shows Shiva in his most fearsome form. He has six arms, carries weapons and a body, has a headdress of skulls, and tramples a corpse. (10/26/94)

- Holy Man
- This holy man at the Jagannath Temple in Kathmandu's Durbar Square gets people to photograph him for money, which is what he is doing here. Some university students told me he was in a Lonely Planet book, and tried to find him in mine, but he was not in that edition. (10/26/94)

- This temple sits on a hill overlooking Kathmandu. At the center is a large stupa, from which the eyes of Buddha look in four directions. (10/27/94)
