Sherpa houses near Pangboche
These traditional Sherpa houses are along the trail to Dingboche, not far beyond Pangboche. The view is back down the valley in the direction of Tengboche and Namche Bazaar. (11/3/94)

Ama Dablam, the most distinctive mountain in the Everest region, is named for its resemblance to a mother with outstretched arms. Here it is seen from near lower Pangboche. (11/3/94)
