Ridge on Illimani
This is a view of one of the ridges on Illimani, seen from the saddle between the peaks. Until now, most of the climb had been in darkness or shadows. We have just completed a 200 foot, 45 degree climb.

Juan approaching Illimani's Summit
Juan leads the way on the final approach to Illimani's summit. We dropped our packs at the broad snowy saddle between peaks. The summit is across a narrow ridge just beyond the visible peak.
