Portal Peaks

The Portal Peaks are seen across the river from the first camp at Nyabitaba Hut. This is near the spot where loop of the circuit begins and ends, and is several hours from Ibanda. Aside from the high peaks, the surroundings here reminded me of the Apalachian Mountains at home. (2/10/97)
