- Climbing Margherita
- We started climbing just before sunrise, and had clear weather as we crossed the Stanley Plateau leading to the main peaks of Mt. Stanley. Margherita, the summit, is the more distant peak to the left behind me. The route would pass right of Alexandra, the other peak, descending steeply before climbing again to the saddle between them.

- Bujuku Lake from Margherita
- This is a view of the Bujuku valley through which I had approached Mt. Stanley. This view of Bujuku Lake reverses the one I had earlier, when I had taken a picture of the peak from the lake.

- Stanley Plateau and Savoia
- Savoia, the other peak of Mt. Stanley, near Elena Hut, is seen beyond the icy Stanley Plateau, which I crossed earlier.

- Speke from Margherita
- Mt. Speke, which rises above Bujuku Hut, is another popular climb in the Rwenzoris, and is probably somewhat easier than Margherita. The route is normally less icy. Speke is the second highest mountain in range.
